PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
DVPSA's protection specialists approach the upfront legwork as seriously as the protection itself. Our specialists aggressively research and conduct advance planning in order to mitigate any risk that might pose a threat. We will make introductions with local law enforcement and other emergency services.
After evaluating your specific situation and requirements, we address all aspects of your protection in order to plan and implement a unique, proactive protection detail. Our job is to provide protection and scan for threats to ensure the safety, health, and property of our consumers.
Home Security Systems
DVPSA provides clients with wireless and hard-wired systems that can transmit information between their home and a central alarm monitoring center via phone lines, Internet, cellular or radio networks. A monitored security system can provide victims with the comfort and security of knowing they are protected against unauthorized entry into their homes. Leading-edge technology is used to detect any opening of doors or windows, any movement within the house, or even the sound of breaking glass.
Although an alarm system may not prevent an abuser from breaking an entering, it will provide victims with warning that could save a life. Additionally, alarm systems allow us to dispatch police at the first sign of intrusion.
Home Security Assessments
DVPSA provides residential home security assessments for clients, conducting the following preparation, prevention and response strategies related to home security and safety:
- Lighting & landscaping surveys
- Windows, doors & locks assessment
- Residents security staging
- Safe room development strategies
- Computer & cell phone monitoring surveys
- Improvised & purpose designed weapon staging & preparation
Self Defense Course
Personal Awareness, Safety & Protection Statistics indicate that a person is physically or sexually assaulted every minute, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Often times, these victims find themselves in situations where they suddenly feel scared or unsure, simply because they were not making decisions while in a state of awareness. However, the majority of victims we serve indicate that they engaged in situations and relationships in which they felt safe, only to find out they were not.
Through our Personal Awareness, Safety & Protection course, DVPSA seeks to improve the awareness, readiness, mindset, body language and self-confidence of our clients. We strive to empower our clients to take action when confronted with a dangerous situation or person, escaping safely or preventing an encounter entirely.
We cover the following topics in this 4 hour course:
- Demographics & Statistics of Violence Against Women (& others) Prevention through Awareness
- Survival vs. PREVAILING!
- “Victim vs. Defender” Body Language
- Dressing to Defend
- Safety & Security While Approaching Vehicle
- Safety & Security While Traveling in a Vehicle
- Safety & Security at Home
- Safety & Security While Traveling Abroad
- Self Defense Principles – when and why it is time to FIGHT BACK!
